The Shaolin Martial Arts Show will operate for two months usually in the Entertainment Hall of the Expo Venue, with its premier performance commencing early July. There will be four shows for the day, each an expose of traditional Kung fu intermingled with acrobatic, magic and dance. The performance, lasting 45 minutes each, stays true to the values imparted by the Shaolin temple in terms of philosophy and aesthetics.
Many Shaolin monks gather to demonstrate precision techniques in martial arts such as the meditative secret behind their ability to survive a knife or sword attack: qigong. The monks will also perform Shaolin boxing. There will be younger and older monks; younger monks equally adept and impressive as the older, more experienced ones. Visitors to the Expo are at liberty to request these monks to even teach them some of the basic Shaolin Kung-fu moves. The use of acrobatic, magic and dance enhance the visual aesthetics of the show and makes it appeal to a wider audience. For Kung-fu fans the Shaolin action alone would be an unforgettable experience.
